There were two systems early last week. The one in the Atlantic fizzled, and the one in the Gulf broke up but refused to leave and flooded sections of Louisiana. Tropical Storm Fiona formed just off the coast of Africa earlier this week but will still be well away early next week. The models on its travel beyond then have some variations, but early expectations are for TS Fiona to turn out into the open Atlantic and not threaten the United States. There are a couple of waves behind TS Fiona that meteorologists are watching even closer. They have concerns these waves could follow a more westerly track that allows more strengthening and reaching the United States. The National Hurricane Center has predicted storm action to increase for the next month or so, and we should be watching and ready in the event one that heads our way. Fish catching report There were several unusual fish caught this week. I mentioned several small sailfish caught from the Outer Banks Piers last week, and there was one caught near the N.C./S.C. border this week that hit a Clarkspoon being trolled for Spanish mackerel. Helping You Figure Out Employment With These Easy Tips
Being unemployed is never fun, especially after a series of fruitless interviews and applications. It doesn’t have to be this hard, though. By incorporating the advice in the article below, you can find that new job quicker.
You should continue to do good work at your current job while seeking a new job. Just taking it easy near the end of your current job can make you have a bad reputation. Your future employers may hear about your track record. Success comes with hard work.
Research the average salary for your industry so you don’t discount yourself while negotiating. Some people set their salary requirement at less than their value because they think a prospective employer will not hire them for more money. It may be somewhat true, but it could also make you appear desperate for work.
Write out some questions before Interview Day. You will almost always be asked if there are any questions. This is the time to ask the questions that you have already prepared.
Go to work early. Many things can happen that can hold you up. Give yourself plenty of time to get there. If they see you’re on time, they’ll be greatly impressed.
When looking for a job, don’t make assumptions. Getting a job is not easy so make sure you have a lot of different choices. Continue to search, and keep all options open. The more applications you submit, the more likely you are to get a job.
Have a professional attitude when answering your phone. Your friends and relations may be surprised, but your potential employers are sure to be impressed.
You can get the job you desire if you have a good resume. Make sure your resume is organized for quick consumption. The resume you submit should highlight your education, experience and what you can offer. Make sure that you indicate volunteering experience as well.
When you are starting a new job, over-communicate with your supervisor if you have to. Failing to ask many questions can lead to loss of trust. Report to your boss more than you normally would. Your boss will be glad you touched base, and they will let you know how often you should speak in the future.
If you are required to complete an application for employment by a potential employer, you need to fill it out fully for them. Even if all of the info needed is on your resume, you should show potential employers you know how to do what you asked to do.
If you’re struggling with creating a resume, consider using an online template. There are many free options available which can be tailored to your needs. Consider if you want to highlight your education, experience or other information and find a resume which specifically states it has been designed for this purpose.
The attitude you carry in an interview is key. Remain positive and try to smile a lot. The interviewer will see you in a positive light and it may improve your chances of landing the job.
Research the company before going on an interview. A company’s website is the perfect place to start learning. You can use this information to create an interesting and thoughtful question about an aspect of the company that interests you. Interviewers will be impressed with your knowledge.
Everything online with your name on it talks to who you are. Periodically search your name on the major search engines and see what pops up. This allows you to see what the employers will see so you can make any needed changes.
Research employment agencies and don’t trust promises right away. Some agencies are only in business to take your money. Ask around and see if there are others you know who have had experience with the agency. Legitimate agencies are excellent resources and a smart ally to your job hunt.
Avoid making negative and rude comments about your old bosses on the Internet, especially through Facebook, Twitter and other social media. Before a company hires an employee, they will research them online and see their posts. Remember, that you are a direct representation of the company when they hire you.

TheKnot.com handles the list by giving you a choice to lock or leave the guest list manager open. if you dont lock the system anyone can invite themselves to any event, even if they are not on your guest list and just came upon your site. Obviously, thats a nightmare for any bride and groom who dont want randoms just showing up to private events where not every guest was asked to participate. However, the problem becomes more complicated when you lock your invite system on the site. That forces everyone to RSVP using their first and last name exactly as you typed it on their invitation. But that proved to be confusing to many of my parents older friends. People tried to do all sorts of things like add their name with their spouses name, use their nickname, add them and their kids all on one RSVP, not hyphenate their name when they usually do hyphenate. The whole thing so far has proved to be a mess and weve had to send step-by-step instructions or add people manually. So hopefully Joy figures that one out. It wont order the flowers, tailor your dress, get the right bartending service or handle reception management for you like an IRL wedding planner might, but after trying it out I can say the UI is slick, the live slideshow is a nice touch and Joshi joked that his platform is a bit like an intelligent bridesmaid telling you to bring an umbrella if its going to rain.
